The participants and the organization have turned the closing ceremony of the seventh edition into a party. The winners of the first stage – the only one carried out due to bad weather – received the awards as winners of the general classification.
Ciutadella, Menorca (11/07/2021). – The Epic Camí de Cavalls 360º 2021 this afternoon held the closing ceremony and awards ceremony at the Gran Sagitario hotel in Santandria. The event experienced a very complicated edition due to bad weather, which forced the suspension of two of the three planned stages. Despite this, participants and organization turned the event into a party full of energy and positivity, already thinking of a better 2022.
“This has been a very special and difficult edition, but also very exciting,” said Clara Fullana, organizer of the Epic Camí de Cavalls 360º. “All these people and this energy deserve a very sincere thank you from us,” she added. Joan Febrer, director of the race, stated that “being able to enjoy, even just one stage, gives us more strength to work on the next edition of 2022, which will have to be worth three after the cancellation by Covid of 2020 and of the partial suspension of 2021.” Likewise, he influenced another aspect that characterizes the event: “Despite not having been able to do all the kilometers, we ended up as a family.”
For classification purposes, the winners of the first stage have received the awards as winners of the general classification. The awards ceremony was attended by Elena Costa, manager of the Fundació Foment del Turisme de Menorca, and Lluís Triay, director of the Gran Sagitario hotel.
