Given the request of the Emergencies General Direction of the Balearic Islands to suspend the stage tomorrow due to the weather conditions.
Given the characteristics of the stage, with great technical difficulty, limited access points and limited or no mobile coverage in many of its sections.
According to all of this, it would be unwise and irresponsible to carry out tomorrow’s stage. Therefore, we are forced to suspend the second stage of the Epic Camí de Cavalls 360º 2021.
After the last minute cancellation of the last edition, neither you as participants nor we as an organization deserved to experience a situation like this again.
Still, let’s make an effort together to turn this negative situation into something positive. Extreme weather conditions are part of our sport, and sometimes we have no choice but to accept it. Tomorrow we won’t be able to go out and do what we love the most, but the Epic Camí de Cavalls 360º doesn’t end here.
We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow from 1pm to 5pm in the car park of the Gran Sagitario hotel to enjoy some time together and the end-of-stage refreshments we had planned. Let’s turn this complicated situation into a celebration of one of our main values: coexistence between participants, and between participants and organization.
Throughout tomorrow we will keep an eye on the evolution of the weather forecast and, in coordination with the Emergencies General Direction of the Balearic Islands, we will make a decision in relation to the third stage. We will communicate this decision as soon as we have made it.
We hope you understand this decision, and we sincerely regret the disappointment it entails for everyone.
Announcement: At 9.15 pm today Friday, the race director Joan Febrer will be at the hotel Gran Sagitario’s Bar to inform.
